LONDON ROOTS. PERSONAL SERVICE.
Combined Motor Trade
Insurance.
Road, premises and business risks in one discussion.
A workshop or dealership needs more than a vehicle policy. We’ll look at the premises, stock, customers’ vehicles, people and activities to explore suitable combined arrangements.
An initial enquiry. Cover starts only when arranged and confirmed.

INSURANCE AROUND YOUR BUSINESS
Bring the whole
business into view.
The sections selected and their limits matter. We’ll discuss how road risk and the premises-based parts of the cover fit together.
Road risk
Premises & stock
Customer vehicles
Business liabilities
The name “combined” does not guarantee every section is included. Some arrangements pair separate road risk and premises policies.
Tell us about your requirements. Available cover depends on the insurer and your circumstances.

01 / YOUR COVER CONSIDERATIONS
Different risks.
Considered together.
These are areas to discuss, not a promise of included cover. We’ll confirm the sections, limits and conditions available for your business.

02 / YOUR POLICY DETAILS
The details.
The difference.
Explore the points to discuss when arranging combined motor trade insurance.
EXPLORE YOUR POLICY DETAILS
01
DETAIL
Buildings, contents and stock
Tell us what you own or are responsible for, including tools, plant and vehicle stock. Values and security need to be checked for each location.
02
DETAIL
Vehicles on site and on the road
Discuss customers’ and stock vehicles, maximum individual values and accumulation at the premises. Collection and testing need their own checks.
03
DETAIL
People and work
Explain employees, subcontractors and the services provided. Public, employers’ and products-related liability need the correct activity descriptions.
04
DETAIL
Returning to business after a loss
Discuss the financial impact of an insured interruption and the time needed to restore trading. The cover trigger and indemnity period are important.
These examples help us understand your needs. Available cover, terms and acceptance depend on the insurer.
03 / OPTIONAL EXTRAS
Extra protection.
A clearer picture.
Explore optional benefits and related policies. Some may already be included; others need separate cover. We’ll explain what is available for your circumstances.
01 / 06
Premises & Contents
Discuss the buildings, stock, plant and equipment at the locations you occupy. Property sums insured and security conditions need to reflect the business.
What we’ll help you check
- Which locations and property are included?
- What values and limits are needed?
- Which security conditions apply?
02 / 06
Customers’ Vehicles
Check how vehicles belonging to customers are protected while in your care, on the premises and during agreed movements.
What we’ll help you check
- What is the maximum value of one vehicle?
- What is the total value at one location?
- Are collection and delivery movements included?
03 / 06
Public Liability
Discuss separate cover for liability arising from your business activities. It does not replace the motor insurance needed for use of the vehicle.
What we’ll help you check
- Which business activities are insured?
- How does it fit with the motor policy?
- What limits does my contract require?
04 / 06
Employers’ Liability
Discuss the people working for the business, their roles and employment arrangements so the applicable liability requirements can be checked.
What we’ll help you check
- Who works for the business?
- Are temporary staff or subcontractors involved?
- Which activities must be declared?
05 / 06
Workmanship & Products
Tell us the repairs, products and services you provide. Liability arising from work and the cost of correcting the work itself can be treated differently.
What we’ll help you check
- Which activities are accepted?
- What liability follows completed work?
- Is the defective work itself excluded?
06 / 06
Business Interruption
Ask about help with insured financial loss following a covered interruption. Triggers, the indemnity period and the basis of cover matter.
What we’ll help you check
- Which events trigger cover?
- How long could recovery take?
- What financial information is needed?
Choose an option to explore. Availability, limits and exclusions vary. Related policies may be arranged separately; we’ll provide the relevant terms before you decide.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY
Your questions
answered.
Answers to common questions about combined motor trade insurance, drivers and arranging cover.
Understanding the cover
Does combined always include road risk?
No. Check the quotation and schedule. Some products exclude road risk and are designed to sit alongside a separate policy.
Are all locations automatically included?
No. Declare every premises and storage location, including any off-site vehicle storage.
What values should I provide?
We’ll ask about buildings, contents, tools, stock and customers’ vehicles. The appropriate valuation basis and peak values should be discussed.
Does business interruption cover any closure?
No. It depends on the insured events and policy triggers. The financial basis, limits and indemnity period need checking.
Vehicles, drivers and use
Are employee tools covered?
Ask specifically about ownership, limits and whether cover extends away from the premises. Do not assume all portable tools are included.
Can the cover change as the business grows?
Contact us before material changes such as new activities, premises, staff or higher stock values. Acceptance and premium changes may apply.
Getting a quote
How do I request a quote?
Choose a quick callback or share your quote details using the enquiry form. You can also call 020 8374 9331. We’ll review your information and discuss the available options.
Does the enquiry form put cover in place?
No. It asks our team to contact you. Cover must be arranged and confirmed, with the required details and payment arrangements completed, before you rely on it.
Can I ask about monthly payments?
Yes. Ask us about available payment arrangements and the total cost. Instalments on an annual policy are not the same as a monthly insurance policy. Finance is subject to eligibility and terms.
Managing your policy
Can I change the policy later?
Contact us before changing vehicles, drivers, activities, locations or other insured details. Insurer acceptance, additional premiums and fees may apply. Check the change is confirmed before relying on cover.
What happens if I want to cancel?
Please contact us and confirm your request in writing. Any refund, fees and outstanding finance depend on the policy terms, time on cover and claims position.
When can I speak to the team?
Call 020 8374 9331, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We are based at 133 Tottenham Lane, Crouch End, London, N8 9BJ.
