INSURANCE AROUND YOUR BUSINESS
More than its age.
More than its mileage.
Classic insurance depends on the vehicle and its use, not simply reaching a particular birthday. Tell us about condition, storage and your plans.
Agreed-value enquiries
Limited mileage
Storage
Collections
Every insurer has its own classic-car criteria. Daily use, modifications and restoration work should be declared.
Tell us about your requirements. Available cover depends on the insurer and your circumstances.

Check policy terms
Windscreen benefits, excesses and repair arrangements vary by insurer.
This is a general comparison, not a policy summary. Availability and benefits depend on the insurer. The policy wording and certificate set out the actual cover and permitted use.
Not sure which level to choose?
We’ll explain the available cover and excesses before you decide.
02 / YOUR POLICY DETAILS
The details.
The difference.
Explore the points to discuss when arranging classic car insurance.
EXPLORE YOUR POLICY DETAILS
01
DETAIL
A value supported by evidence
Keep photographs, restoration invoices and any specialist valuation available. Ask what the insurer requires to consider agreed value.
02
DETAIL
How often you drive it
Tell us about leisure trips, shows, commuting or regular use. Check mileage limits and how to notify the insurer if plans change.
03
DETAIL
The car between journeys
Explain garaging, security and periods off the road. Laid-up or storage cover, where available, has a different scope from road-use cover.
04
DETAIL
Restoration and modifications
Tell us about work underway, replacement engines, upgrades or electric conversions. Acceptance and valuation need to reflect the actual vehicle.
These examples help us understand your needs. Available cover, terms and acceptance depend on the insurer.
03 / OPTIONAL EXTRAS
Extra protection.
A clearer picture.
Explore optional benefits and related policies. Some may already be included; others need separate cover. We’ll explain what is available for your circumstances.
01 / 06
Agreed Value
Ask whether the insurer can agree a vehicle value in advance and what evidence is needed. An estimate entered on a proposal is not itself an agreed-value settlement.
What we’ll help you check
- What evidence or valuation is needed?
- When must the value be reviewed?
- How do excesses and policy terms affect settlement?
02 / 06
Storage & Security
Explain where vehicles are kept and the security in use. Cover can depend on garages, keys, trackers and other agreed conditions.
What we’ll help you check
- What security is required?
- Does cover continue during storage?
- Must changes be notified?
03 / 06
Motor Breakdown
Explore roadside assistance and recovery for the vehicle use you declare. Home assistance, onward travel and vehicle restrictions depend on the product.
What we’ll help you check
- Does it accept this vehicle and its use?
- What weight, size or age limits apply?
- Which recovery and home services are included?
04 / 06
Repair Arrangements
Discuss repairer choice, replacement parts and authorisation before choosing the policy. Specialist repair needs should be raised at quotation stage.
What we’ll help you check
- Can a preferred repairer be used?
- Which parts and labour terms apply?
- What needs authorisation before repairs begin?
05 / 06
Motor Legal Cover
Help with eligible legal costs when pursuing uninsured losses following a non-fault accident. Conditions apply to the prospects of success and authorisation of costs.
What we’ll help you check
- Which losses can be pursued?
- What must happen before costs are authorised?
- How is a claim reported?
06 / 06
European Driving
Tell us the countries, duration and purpose of any overseas journeys. Territorial limits and the level of cover abroad need checking.
What we’ll help you check
- Which countries and trips are accepted?
- What period and cover level apply?
- Is overseas breakdown arranged separately?
Choose an option to explore. Availability, limits and exclusions vary. Related policies may be arranged separately; we’ll provide the relevant terms before you decide.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY
Your questions
answered.
Answers to common questions about classic car insurance, drivers and arranging cover.
Understanding the cover
How old must a car be to qualify?
There is no universal qualifying age. Insurers consider the model, collectability, condition and how it is used.
Can I use a classic every day?
Declare that intention. Some classic policies restrict daily use or commuting and may require access to another vehicle.
What does agreed value mean?
Where confirmed, the insurer agrees a value basis in advance, subject to the policy terms. Evidence and periodic reviews may be required.
Can a restoration project be considered?
Tell us its condition, location and the work taking place. Ask about storage or restoration cover rather than assume ordinary road cover fits.
Vehicles, drivers and use
Are shows, rallies or competitions covered?
Describe each activity. Attending a static show is different from competitive driving or timed events, and acceptance must be checked.
Can modifications be included?
Declare all changes, including performance, cosmetic and mechanical alterations. The insurer must accept the specification.
Getting a quote
How do I request a quote?
Choose a quick callback or share your quote details using the enquiry form. You can also call 020 8374 9331. We’ll review your information and discuss the available options.
Does the enquiry form put cover in place?
No. It asks our team to contact you. Cover must be arranged and confirmed, with the required details and payment arrangements completed, before you rely on it.
Can I ask about monthly payments?
Yes. Ask us about available payment arrangements and the total cost. Instalments on an annual policy are not the same as a monthly insurance policy. Finance is subject to eligibility and terms.
Managing your policy
Can I change the policy later?
Contact us before changing vehicles, drivers or vehicle use. Insurer acceptance, additional premiums and fees may apply. Check the change is confirmed before relying on cover.
What happens if I want to cancel?
Please contact us and confirm your request in writing. Any refund, fees and outstanding finance depend on the policy terms, time on cover and claims position.
When can I speak to the team?
Call 020 8374 9331, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We are based at 133 Tottenham Lane, Crouch End, London, N8 9BJ.
