Does cyber insurance replace IT security?
No. Security controls, backups and staff awareness remain essential. Insurers can require particular measures to be maintained.
Is an email payment scam automatically covered?
No. Social engineering and funds-transfer fraud can have distinct conditions, sublimits or exclusions. Ask specifically about these risks.

Will the policy provide incident specialists?
Some policies provide access to specialist response services. Confirm the contacts, authorisation requirements and scope before an incident.
What should I do if I suspect an incident?
